European Day of Languages Institute of Valencian Studies
One more year, on the occasion of the European Day of Languages, the Institute of Valencian Studies and the Aragonese Center of Valencia organize a cultural meeting where poems and folk tales will be read; among others, the Aragonese, Provencal, Valencian and Neapolitan languages will be represented.
This commemoration is an initiative of the European Commission and the Council of Europe in tribute to the linguistic diversity of Europe representing 800 million citizens from 47 countries. Remember that in our continent more than 200 own languages are spoken among which 60 are regional or minority. The Institute, together with other friendly associations, participates in this way in the dissemination of linguistic varieties and in the promotion of cultural diversity that characterizes Europe.
From our institution we encourage all people to participate in this event to be held at the Aragonese Center of Valencia.
