Last Saturday, May 25, the award for literary creation in the Valencian language Manuela Solís i Claràs of the 5th edition of the Institut d'Estudis Valencians Awards was presented. The awarding ceremony takes place as part of the Loyalty Award gala organized by the Accio Valencianista Group at the La Hipica restaurant in Valencia.

Last Friday, September 22, the presentation of the European Alliance of Regional Languages took place in Valencia, an entity created with the aim of promoting the different regional languages represented in it. The event, organized by the Institut d'Estudis Valencians, was held at the central headquarters of the Aragonese Center of Valencia.

Last Saturday, October 2, 2021, the INEV 2020 Awards for Lluïs Alcanyis research and Manuela Solis i Claràs creation took place. The award ceremony was held at the Grup d'Accio Valencianista Premi Llealtat 2021 gala that was held at the La Hípica Valencia restaurant. The Lluïs Alcanyis research award went to Mr. Jesualt Masià Alamar for the work The identity conflict. Valencianism and Catalanism from the beginning of the 20th century to democracy and the Manuela Solis i Claràs creation prize went to Mr. Vicent Josep Escuder Bisbal for the work At the gates of UCRO.

One more year, on the occasion of the European Day of Languages, the Institute of Valencian Studies and the Aragonese Center of Valencia organize a cultural meeting where poems and folk tales will be read; among others, the Aragonese, Provencal, Valencian and Neapolitan languages will be represented.

In the first lecture of Module C of the Valencian Culture Course, the researcher Toni Fontelles will tackle a very topical topic in the field of the Valencian language: Genuineism and self-hatred.

The conference will take place this Thursday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the GAV headquarters, at Calle Julián Peña, 3 de Valencia.

The Institute of Valencian Studies announces the announcement of two new prizes within the Valencian cultural world: the Lluïs Alcanyis Research Prize and the Manuela Soiís Claras Creation Prize.

These awards want to be a tribute to those leading figures of Valencian history, promote research and creation in the Valencian language.

Lluïs Alcanyis (Xativa 1440 - Valencia 1510) was a Valencian doctor and poet, his family was a Jewish convert, he occupied the first chair of medicine at the University of Valencia and published the book "Condom and Pestilence Regiment of the Pestilence" with indications to prevent and cure the plague.
